What is the distance between Dubai and the Maldives?

Fun Island Maldives focuses on traveling the world and experiencing everything there is to know about The Maldives

The distance between Dubai and the Maldives is only around 200 nautical miles, however it takes over three hours to fly.  The Maldives are a group of atolls in the Indian Ocean that have been popular destinations for tourists since the early 1970s. On average, there are more than 750 islands in this archipelago which is spread out over roughly 90,000 square kilometers. This blog post will provide information on what you can do while visiting these beautiful islands!

The Maldives is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, southwest of India and Sri Lanka. The distance from Dubai to the Maldives is 5 hours by plane or 3 days by boat. Despite its close proximity to such a vibrant city, there are some notable differences between these two places that may catch you off guard!

Things to know About Maldives

1.You cannot wear shoes at the airport. The reason is that the island has an average groundwater level of just 1 foot above sea level. The roads are not built to support vehicles, so no need for pavement or roadblocks. They are built to let water pass through when it rains. This saves a lot of damage by preventing flooding in these low-level islands during rainy seasons!

2. No mosquito repellent needed..no way! It’s impossible to catch Malaria if you’re in the Maldives because it doesn’t have any mosquitoes carrying the disease! How nice is that?! It does get crowded with island hoppers during April and May though when they come here to enjoy the lowest rates for luxury hotels.

3. The currency is not considered legal tender. This means that the local currency, the “Rufiya” is not accepted in shops or businesses. Tourists have to pay for everything in US Dollars instead! This brings us to our next point. Bureau de Change. Please don’t come here thinking you’ll get a good rate on your home currency, because it won’t happen! The best rate you can get is at a Bureau De Change while still in the transit lounge, then spend everything before going into the country using credit cards and foreign currencies only. 4- Internet everywhere..but limited bandwidth!

4. People take their internet connections very seriously here…that’s why there is a lot of bandwidth and ISP companies around. But do not expect blazing speeds when it comes to downloading, uploading, or streaming HD content! This is because the country employs some strict censorship laws when it comes to international websites such as Facebook and Twitter. To bypass these restrictions, many locals use VPN services like PureVPN to unblock such sites during their visit here.

5. Meat fish in meat..no problem! This is one of our favorite points we’ve come across so far. Did you know that eating fish and meat in the same meal is perfectly acceptable here? That’s right, there are no religious are more internet cafes per person here than anywhere else in the world.

Things to know About Dubai

1.Dubai is a city of modern wonders. The Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building; Atlantis, The Palm; and Dubai Marina are all located in this desert city on the Persian Gulf coast. But if you look closer, there are signs of something different lurking beneath the surface.

2. About 130 kilometers west of downtown Dubai lies an enormous cave system known as the Al-Hosn or the “Cave Palace”. Local Bedouins knew about this series of desert caverns, but it wasn’t until 1988 that they were rediscovered by local cavers after a flash flood exposed several entrances. The un-looted passages revealed an underground fantasyland with halls, staircases, and rooms decorated in sculptures and paintings. The site is so big that at least two tours have been created specifically for visitors to experience it safely–as well as enjoy its vast surroundings which include picnic spots, ponds, and even camels (who provide milk for a local Bedouin tribe that lives nearby).

3. It’s being looted by modern-day Indiana Joneses who don’t want to preserve it as a cultural heritage site–they just want to steal whatever artifacts they can find and sell them on the black market. In fact, several parties have been caught excavating here without permission from the United Arab Emirates’ Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM). Who knows how many more the nearby settlement.

The Maldives are a group of islands in the Indian Ocean. They’re about 1200 miles southwest from Dubai, which is located on the Arabian Peninsula close to Saudi Arabia and Oman.
